Hells bells, what's all the argument about, it's a question of personal choice.
I am getting an M badge the same for my rear door, it helps to lift a drab rear end.
All the mods seem a sensible solution to a problem.
Keep doing the mods.

As I said earlier, while doing the DVD install, I inadvertantly ran the battery down on the X5 and it got real cranky and threw a major sulk.
I eventually got it charged up again and everything settled down except the remote locking. I key would lock, the other wouldn't. So off I went to the local friendly dealer where the parts guy went through the synchronising procedure, as depicted here on the home page of X5 world, and he resolved the issue.
On walking around the rear of the car, he almost tripped over the exhaust tips, saying "Holy cr*p, what the **** are those, I had a guy in one time looking for something like that. Where did you get them?"
I explained to him where I got them and how I applied them. They are an interference fit. I had to put an ice pack around the Remus tips and warm the custom ones, when I applied them I had about 15 seconds to get them alligned.
Anyway, I'll have a bit more fun with them, and then eventually shorten.
