Maui Idiots!
2 Attachment(s)
Went to see a client whose home was located in a cul-de-sac. There were no cars parked outside when I drove in. I was the only car parked outside. After an hour, I came out to find a VW parked in front of the X5, with its rear bumper almost attached to my front bumper. Note: there were still no other cars in this large cul-de-sac, just the "f.....g " (excuse the expletive) Volkswagen kissed-ass with my X5 as per the picture.
So I started taking pictures when I noticed the VW owner was still in his car so I immediately tapped his window and asked him to come out. He's an elderly guy (found out later that he was 85) so I told him he may have damaged my car and also asked why he parked so close to mine when the whole cul-de-sac is car-free. His reply - because I parked in front of his house! Took a deep breath as I was about to become mouthy and ugly when I realized that this guy looked familiar and then I remembered that I met him 15 years ago and more importantly he is also my neighbor's dad! So I cooled off quickly even though I still managed to tell him he was an asshole which he quickly replied that I should have parked in front of the house that I visited to begin with. Go figure. Well, as it turned out, there was no damage, just some dirt scratches from both our dirty bumpers. Moral of the story: It doesn't matter how or where you park your X5, there are idiots everywhere:rofl: |
unreal, glad to see the x is ok though!
|
That is too funny....... that old coot actually put his bumper on you with ample spots open. I wonder what he would have done had He found my 96 Landcruiser with ARB Bull Bar and cakes of mud in the spot your X was in?
|
Cranky old man did it on purpose and thought he was 100% justified. People think they get street rights when they buy a house. Fueds have started due to someone parking in front of someone else's house. Glad the X is OK.
I guess Lambeau's wilderness has its perks after all. |
Yep, some people just can't drive or park. Reminds me of the time when someone rear ends me and tried to get away. And when I caught up with her, she said this is San Francisco, things like this happens all the time! Glad that there was no damage.

glad to see your baby is ok

Ed,
That oldman has no business having a carkey in his hands. I wouldn't want to share a road with that guy for sure. (I'll look you up when I am ready to buy a property in Maui...) |
Sorry to hear about the frustration but at least there was no damage. I'll have to watch out for an 85 year old geezer in a silver Passat weaving all over the road when I'm there.
It could be worse. Just one of many examples of elderly drivers who are dangerous. :tsk: Staff Reports The Desert Sun November 24, 2006 Man accidentally drives car into closed barbershop CATHEDRAL CITY -- An 84-year-old man who said he was looking for a place to get a haircut Thursday drove his car into a barbershop, police said. Sol Parsow of Rancho Mirage meant to step on the brake but instead hit the accelerator while trying to park in front of Denny's Barbershop in the 35-400 block of Date Palm Drive in Cathedral City, according to a news release from the Cathedral City Police Department. Police were called to the scene about 9:40 a.m. and found Parsow's 2000 Lincoln had plowed into the barbershop, which was closed for Thanksgiving, and done extensive damage to the interior, the release said. Parsow was not injured, and police said alcohol did not appear to be a factor. The accident investigation was continuing Thursday. |
There are individuals like that who don't want cars parked in front or side of their property when you're visiting someone else...
Good to know there's no damage to the X5... |
Yeah and some of them live in my neighborhood.
