I hated mine when I had them. They would never perfectly contour to the windshield and consequently left big spots untouched. I ended up going back to regular blades. I even went so far as to get an airfoil for the passenger side blade (now both of them have one). The OE (bosch micro edge excel) blades work better than Icons IMO, esp with the airfoil on the passenger side blade.

Silly, the Icons destroyed the factory blades as far as performance and noise is concerned and lasted twice as long as the original blades. I have had two sets so far in almost 4 years. There is a one inch portion where the resting blade doesn't hit the window on the far right passenger side, but when the wipers are turned on, it does hit the window. They are much, much better than stock and there is no need to have the spoiler on each blade as it is built-in.

In your case maybe. I had 1 and 2 inch sections that werent touching, smack in the middle of the drivers blade and on the edge of the passenger blade (as yours was). When at speed, the passenger one isnt so important but the driver one is annoying and dangerous.

For sure they win on noise, but dont really perform any better (in the sections that touch the windsheild) than the micro edge excel blades in a FL downpour. With the stock blades, adding the second spoiler vastly improves the perf of the passenger blade (but makes it a touch noisy).

Are you 100% sure you had the right size blades?

Mine are way better than stock as far as visibility and performance are concerned.

100% sure. 424A (driver) and 422B (pass). I use rain-x, maybe that's why they dont seem to make much of a difference.

Also, are you sure you installed them correctly? See this thread. Especially Statdoc's post #13.

They didnt sit right even after I pulled the tab out. Maybe my blade got bent permanently. Perhaps once these die, I'll give them another shot.

Well glad all that is sorted! Funny... I put Icons on, on Friday and was pretty upset.

Now that i've read and heard about this 'metal section' to snap off; i'm pumped :D

Can't wait for some rain/snow to give em a shot, and snap tat metal off!

There is no 'metal section' to snap off.
It's a plastic clip on the wiper arm.

What's happened?:) I installed mine last weekend and i was testing right away with water pouring down lol. Icons work great and quiet. My OEM wipers are bad and it's time to switch to BI. happy with them so far.:)
