My 2 Cents. Brembo brake rotors from Tire Rack - $204. Axxis Deluxe Plus street pads from Dave Zeckhausen at http://www.zeckhausen.com/BMW/X5.htm. No more brake dust! If the existing sensors are good, use the existing sensors because replacement can be finicky... trust me.

If the City That Never Sleeps is NYC, then my best advise: call Dave Z. in North Jersey because he is not only a BMW fanatic, HE CARES!

IMO always change rotors
If your rotor's are above the minimum limits, you don't have to change them.

I just did my brake change at 65k and the techs measured the rotors with a caliper and they were way above minimums. The techs said they'd be good until the next pad change. Why change them?

Why spend money on stuff you don't need!

thanks all for the suggestions and opinions. I have already placed an order with a mech shop highly recommended by a friend. I'll let you know how it goes, the total bill is 790 with labor and parts, for all OE bmw parts. I'll use the info here for the next time when i have a bit more prep time and flexibility in ordering.
