Tire Questions, 4.8is

I haven't fully decided which brand to buy yet, anybody got any recommendations? Here's my list priorities in order of importance:

Quiet
Grip
Longevity

I'm replacing my Diamaris at 30k, because they roar like lions at low speed. I'm not sure I want to go with the Yokahama's, because they didn't do well on my Audi. I liked the Pirellis I had on my 4.4i, but they don't make them in our size.

If I do choose to go back to Diamaris again, then what would keep them from being so loud? They're not worn out per se, I just can't stand how loud they are.

Thanks for any insights,
Scott

Scott, turn the radio up...:band: I think all 4.6is/4.8is drivers experience the roar of having that wide azz 315 in the rear. The problem is you don't have a lot of choices. The Diamaris handles well wet or dry...so I guess it's a small compromise considering what else is available......Phil

Not a bad suggestion, but my customers generally don't like the gangsta rap that I like :)

I'm leaning toward the Diamaris again, just curious what others have done.

I stayed with the Diamaris....only issue is the damn price. I think I paid around 1350.00 last January. I'm hoping to get the remainder of 2007 out them. I plan to look at a ///M6 or a 650i in Jan 08..............Phil

yokohama are the greatest. I had the michelins, they are good but for the money the yokohama was two hundred dollars less and the ride is great

contential makes the sport contact in the sizes for the is if you want something a little quieter they should do the trick...personally I dont find my Diamaris that bad noise wise...also the Latitude tour from michlin is another option it has a lot less agressive of a tread pattern which should quiet it down nicely as for the dunlops they are almost double the diamaris now as this year they are only offered in a run-flat

The tirerack was really pushing the Latitudes, but I don't want to give up performance that much to get in an all-season. I don't really care (that much), if I they only last 30k miles, but I do care if I lose a lot of grip.
