Yes, same with mine, the PRND-S glows just a tiny bit. Looks like residual light being reflected from the led under the plastic, however.

Well, whatever the case, I don't think it presents any harm to our X5s. Mine has been on since 2003, with no problems. No dead battery, nothing.
I'm thinking case solved.

I'm not so sure, I've got some testing to do with my Fluke 83. I'm looking for the system to go to sleep with 50mA or less draw. Please see link below for another thread on this. My new battery has been fine after 2 weeks :thumbup:, but I'm really curious whether I have problems that will drain the battery in the future. :stickpoke Steve from Morristown BMW has been a great help in troubleshooting this problem!
