Park LED on Stick is always on! Is this normal? Can you check your car?
1 Attachment(s)
I just noticed that my park led won't turn off, even once I've armed the alarm and walked away. Is this normal?
All lights are off in the car but this and alarm light. I doubt this would drain the battery but tomorrow is not the day I need a dead battery. Can you check your car and let me know? thanks! |
:D
Mine has been doing that every day since 2003. No problem, absolutely normal my friend! It would probably take a good five years for one tiny LED to run the battery down. :D |
I'll check again in 5 minutes.

This has been posted numerous times, yes it is normal.

It actually goes off after sitting idle for a while....Go check it in about 30 or 40 minutes.....Phil

BMWs have a "sleep" mode and I think the LED turns off once you do so, among other things.
I have an X3 so its different. The LED shuts off once I lock or if a door is not opened for 5 minutes. In addition once the X3 is in "sleep" mode, many of the interior electronics dont work. For example, if I reach in and hit a map light, the light will not turn on. |
