30mm spacers in the read will make the front and back match. They will both be stuck out a bit.

Exactly!Which will make it look horrible!
This is a clear case for getting the Fender Flares!

Its just a personal opinion!I personally dont like wheels/tyres sticking out!

If you check the above thread, you will read that FMB also states that his 19" 7-series rims do stickout a bit!

Btw.Congrats ,your X looks excellent .

I dont like them sticking out either, but even worse is the front sticking out a bit and the back ones sucked in.

I'd rather have all four matching. Hence the need for spacers in the rear.

With the 22s I had, the tire only stuck out about 3/8", I was on the fence about getting some extended flares to protect from rocks coming off the tires.

I dont now what the offset is on your 22"?Whether that makes it stick out more than the 745il 19" rims!

But,Canadian,I know they are a bit expensive but get the 4.8 fender flares(front and back) and the mud flaps for the front to prevent rocks hitting the doors..

Alternatively ,if you know a professional that could machine off the inside of your wheels to ET45 front and ET30 rear ,this maybe the best and cheapest way to do it.

I've got a 2001 X5 3.0 not the S model

ours use 40mm offset, the 745il uses 18 or 20mm offset
