What does everyone else have?

With that type of driving, I would consider that very good mpg. Think about it - you're driving, aggressively, a 5000 pound, 5 passenger, 4 wheel drive SUV with a 315hp V8 under the hood - and for less than 3 bucks you can drive it more than 14 miles like that! ;)

my 2001 4.4 sport gets 15mpg at 100-110mph :trustme: :zoom:
the gas mileage was actually going up when we leveled off at 100/110 at 17.6 (recalculated it) in my 4.8 and going down at 85mph (less mpg at 85 than at 110, i thought was kind of strange)

he has a stage 2 4.6, what do you expect?

My 15mph claim was over a 20 minute period with multiple obc calculations - the Dinan S2 upgrade uses a bit more petrol than the OEM setup - It would have been a longer run if I had not had to put it into the stones when some cars were doing a pass on a blind turn(2 lane road) - Fortunately, there was a wide shoulder I could drift onto to prevent the headon - Seems they had tucked themselves behind a truck which had just completed his pass at the blind turn - It was a nasty surprise to see all those cars occupying my lane after the truck moved back into his lane - never touched the brakes(which is why I'm still here), just drifted onto the shoulder and eased it back when the interlopers passed by - I dialed it back to 80 after that

Mileage Not What I Expected

City driving in Los Angeles about 13mpg. At 80mph hwy, get about 19mpg. Overall I'm averaging about 14mpg (doing mostly city driving these days). Not quite what I expected based on ratings, but hell...then thing is so darn fun to drive!! Guess I picked the wrong year to champion the global warming movement. :zoom:
