Messing Mica 2001 4.4i
 

I promised pics a while back but was busy replacing Halfshafts and then couldn't possibly post pics of a dirty X.

Anyways, here is a 2001 Messing Mica (Brass Metallic). As far as I know this was an Individual order eventhough I heard that you could not officially get Individual X5s in the US in 2001. I am trying to find out more details as to how this came to be.

Individual X5 has merino leather and maritime trim. Maybe only the color was custom ordered.

I had a friend at the dealership run the VIN and it shows up as an Individual...

I know in the US the Individual program has always been kinda hush hush and I know for the X5 the offered limited options, but I don't know when it started.

A few things I was wondering:
1. would a 2001 have Clear tail lights and sidemarkers?
2. the kidney inserts on the 2001 are typically what color?

I am still trying to research exactly how or why the car is considered (or not) an Individual... :thumbup:
