Guys I just want to let you know if someone (who know how to do it the “right way”) decide to change mileage there will be NO way to check actual mileage no matter where you go, including the dealer. X5 keeps mileage record in 5 different places under protection, right guys can easily bypass protection and correct the mileage anyway they want. I used to know one guy in Russia who was doing that for living, I recall he said that changing mileage for X5, most BMWs and MBs is a piece of cake, with a few exceptions such as 2002+ 7-series and S-class but still possible. Sad but 95% of imported to Russia vehicles thru Latvia have corrected mileage. So impossible is nothing.

I'm an engineering student and I would say we use 40% metric and 60% imperial (standard) system. Funny but all of my professors prefer metric. Metric system based on the speed of light in an absolute vacuum and imperial system based on foots, elbows, fingers, eyeballs  … soo outdated.

Ah yes, the forgotten country. Not important. lol jk

Not that I dislike Canada or anything. In fact, I really like how I can get some good European fashion and clothing in places like Montreal, and some of the main highways are paved oh-so-well.

So you're trying to say that some people in Canada change mileage...

toohotdoc 03-31-2007 12:51 PM

some people

well i sayin if its in canada, its also elsewhere, thats all, i grew up with alot of people that knew how to do this on hondas and domestics, and i heard you can buy the parts and computers or whatever to do them on the net, so anyone can do them, thats why when i buy my cars i always have them inspected for wear so its not a contrast from the mileage........ONLY CANADA, haahaa, if you want to believe so.
