Well I think if I had a post 10/02 head light to practice with, I would be able to come up with a solution. I have a great bunch of technical and mechanical guys at hand to give their help and opinions. A good source of products and machines to use; I just dont fancy taking my own X5 apart to get the 03 head lights out to do that. I will have a look to see if there is any already removed 10/02 head lights available to get a good clear answer once and for all.............

I would have thought some BMW dealerships, or a specialist accident repair centre would give you a busted X5 headlight unit to play with.

I'm going to check with a few dealers and bodyshops this week. Not sure if they will have anything though. If anyone can help also, maybe you have an old damaged head lamp or got one gathering dust that you know you will never use; than I would be greatful if you could send it, so I can start working on opening the post 10/02 Head Lights:thumbup:

Do you think this will work ? http://cgi.ebay.com/Marine-Release-S...QQcmdZViewItem |
give that a try, seems like it should. I would make sure it doesnt damage the plastic.
