IT DID IT BEFORE

nO, THE SHAKING WAS HAPPENING EVEN BEFORE i ADDED THE DIELECTRIC GREASE.

Sorry about the caps.

Did the shaking happen before you did the tune up?

tonydan1 08-14-2007 01:21 PM

no it did it after a cetain time

I did the tune-up. After 600km later, it started to shake a little.

But this is recent.

klnteg 08-14-2007 01:53 PM

so It has progressively gotten worse? Sounds as though it has something to do with your tune up then... Re-check everything you have done, right down to the parts and if they are the right ones. Did you gap the plugs?

tonydan1 08-14-2007 01:55 PM

you can't gap them

they are not the gappable type.

I realy want to try to clean the intake. Might you know of a way I can inject the cleaner into the manifold?

klnteg 08-16-2007 04:36 PM

yes you can inject the cleaner where the air intake boot goes to the manifold, just remove the intake rubber tube where it meets the manifold, and have the engine idling and spray a small quantity in the intake and the engine will bogg down, thats normal. If you do it with the engine off then it will have a build up off cleaner in the intake and will not start until it is dispursed. So it would suggest do it when the engine is idling. I havn't done this on my X5 but I have on many other vehicles and works fine. The other way can clean it is carb cleaner and a tooth brush and scrub away and wipe clean.

how abouth rough a vacuum tube

do you know of any vacuum tubes I can use?

klnteg 08-16-2007 08:27 PM

Why Do you want to use a vaccum hose?

AzNMpower32 08-16-2007 09:38 PM

My X3 has done that intermittently on the first startup of the day. I let it sit for about 30secs for the motor to settle down until driving off.

tonydan1 08-17-2007 09:01 AM

it goes direct into system

because with the vacuum it goes directly inside the engine.

You don't agree?
