only if you take it to a gas station and say "I'll trade you this filter for some gas".

why dont you just use less oil for kn filter or dont use oil at all. i never had problems in past 8 years driving bmw's with sport filtes...and never use oil on filter. Some manuals also say dont put filter into oil can ;) just spray it slightly... ;)

Yes and for a few reasons:

http://www.europeanautosource.com/im...comparison.jpg

- Pliable progressive polyurethane seal
- 100% polyurethane construction
- Deepest pleats in the industry
- Minimal wicking
- Factory pre-oiled with non-surfactant containing refined oil
- Washable/reusable cotton gauze media

aFe also has a different pleat geometry than others with rounded tips. Others (and OEM) are more triangular and pointed. This rounded design allows the air to flow more efficiently around the tops of the pleats.

The aFe filters use a vegetable-based oil that will not leave a film or harm the HFM. Filters are lifetime warranty and reusable.

Popular choice are the oiled filters - they are preoiled from the factory so yo ucan simply drop them in place once received.
