hi george, nice talking to you today. as i was driving down route 50 i saw this 330ci with the same exact spec of your car, i knew it was you right away. it is much nicer in person than it is in picture. talk about problems with the e53, i dont even want to list it, mostly involved eletrical. glad you let it go, as i will sooner or later. as soon as my extended warranty expire on that thing it is gone. bmw makes e53 a great performance car but not great after 50K or 4 years, they are more prone to problems than any other cars. as you mentioned about the m5, a friend of mine just bought it from sterling, it is a great car but after 2 weeks of ownership he has flat tire warning came on 10 times. he took it to fairfax and got special treatment there, yeah "special" like going straight in without any appointment or even paper work check. my e53 have been mostly sitting at home, i do drive it but only once a week just to keep the oil circulate and make sure it still works. but i think winter months are coming very soon, i will need to sit my 530i and return to the x. dont go to faifax service lane too often ok? that wouln't be good. i know i wouldn't.

Will do. Its good to bump into you and the wife today. I should say, I love the color and look of your 530i. Nice looking car:thumbup: In as much as I love our E53s, the older it gets the more costly it becomes to keep it. I'd still love to get one in the future though maybe a 4.6 this time.

I still hope to see you on the service lanes but hopefully just on regular change oil intervals. ;)

Cheers

Jayjay, Its a fookin joy:thumbup: . Specially if you're used to my heavy E53. Pare feels like I'm 18 again (boy that's a long time ago). Its almost as nimble and quick as my old M3.

Nice ride (even though its missing a pedal).

I know.LOL Its pretty responsive though for a steptronic transmission. You just can't do manual trans here in the traffic in DC and the beltway.

Yup, same here in Boston. I had a 330Ci (not the ZHP unfortunately) and loved it as a DD - hated the manual in the city after a while.

Hey George. Sorry to hear that all those problems you were having with your X (and only at 41K miles!) that forced you to trade it in, but congrats on the the 330ci!

I hope you still pop into the E53 board once in awhile. Take care, pare!

X5world for me is still the best. Lots of great info and great people. I still have my wife's X so I'll still be hanging around. I think problems in my E53 is an isolated case. Given the chance I'll get one again in the future
