Wow, a non refundable deposit??? You mean you didn't get a chance to test drive one before you decided to buy one? My dealer gave me a 3.0 desiel to test drive for the weekend. I don't think you get the desiel engines in the US??? Anyway, once I drove the desiel, I knew I wanted the 4.8 but couldn't afford one and settled for the 4.4 with LOTS of add ons :D

Awesome X5!! Love the red! Blue and green also as I gave up black, white, and gray with B&W TV in the '60's. It's tough to shell out big bucks on aftermarket goodies after plopping down even bigger bucks for new. Budget yourself... a little here, a little there. Of course I'm a fine one to talk with what I'm doing with mine! (see mod string) But then I don't have someone with veto power with me. This is a vehicle you will love and have for a long time. It's a shame you are back east where the troopers and traffic are alot more dense. If you ever get it west of the Mississppi, you will find it really flies while being rock solid. Enjoy!
