Well, legally, it should be about 30 the whole way, but that's not my problem. My problem is related to heavy foot syndrome.

well my commute is all highway and very little city driving..thus my best being about 460 miles...however i know that will never happen again..since the computer showed that I had 1 mile left (no joke) on the highway it showed about 16...once on the ramp till the gas station it went to 1....scary stuff.but was definetely happy :D

Oh I've made it about 30 miles on ---, which if you've ever gotten that far down you understand that 1 mile left last about 10 miles. The story involves me and my girlfriend talking and not hearing the beep or paying attention to the MID, so all of a sudden we look down and the needle is sitting on the stop essentially and the only gas station is a racetrack and I'm like there is no way in hell that is going in my car so I'm like let's go to the next exit. Unbeknownst to me the next exit was another 30 miles, the car needless to say was beginning to stutter so we slowed down from about 95 to 55 then 45. I had already dialed roadside assistance and then right when it was about to die we made it to the next exit and there was a BP, we didn't stop at any traffic light or stop sign and put it in neutral on the exit ramp. Then of course since it was the only gas station in 30 miles and this was when gas was at it's highest, it was about $100 to fill it up and it took 2 more gallons than the manual says it will hold. That was the closest I ever want to come to running out of gas

I've driven the X5 with some gas left and the next thing I know the yellow light on the instrument cluster goes on. I still drove it for a good 30 miles when I had to and then put gas in it.

That was the farthest I pushed the X5 with the gas warning light!
