I have both a BT module (4th generation) and StealthOne without problems. I can't remember if it was before I removed my Assist module (mine is an 04 E53 before the combined module). I don't have an iPod adapter (or iPod) just the aux input.

You're welcome. :) You're right that the V1 is the outright winner in the Guys of Lidar tests.

I noticed that I answered your question 3 incorrectly. You were asking about photo radar. The VEIL reference was to a product that deflects laser. It gets "painted on" the front license plate and the headlight covers (which are the three primary laser targets for cops). There have been some horror stories about the darkening and dulling effect that it can have on headlight covers. Also, you have to have to an expert paint it on otherwise it looks bad too.

Yeah I spend a lot of time detailing my cars. I can't imagine painting veil on it. But the main reason I don't think it would help is that the frontal noses of all BMW's provides an adequate surface for them to laser. From what I've read, they can shoot the beam anywhere on the front of you car and get their reading.

I got my V1 over 11 years ago and knock on wood it has NOT let me down...my old Escort was good but in NO way compares to the consistency of the V1.

Well V1 is a great detector but the escort 8500 X50 (red dysplay) still remains the best value for what it has to offer...the arrows on the V1 are genius and great ( i know i have one :D:D) but they are a commodity...no matter where the beep comes from u still adhere to the law right? ...

Anyways i was lucky enough to have both...and from my experience the V1 goes more off where it shouldn't ...but i can live with that :)

I am awaiting the new generation Valentine...the 9500i is too expensive for what it has to offer...

For now i will stick to my X50 and V1 ..cheers :)

It's interesting that the Guys of Lidar laser jammer test had a clear winner in the Laser Interceptor. If you look at this graphic, the more green a laser jammer has, the better it scored. Unfortunately, one cannot buy a Laser Interceptor in the USA --- one has to buy it from the UK. It comes in two models --- one costs about $800 and the other about $1,200!

I have the Escort 8500 X50 with red lights and it has let me down big time, 3 times as a matter of fact. Once it did not even go off. I have it placed as the directions indicate for best performance and everyhting. It works really well for radar, but laser is a joke. That is what has pushed me to look into a laser jammer. From what I have read you really need something else like a jammer to be better covered when it comes to laser.

Man that Laser Interceptor dominates the others!

I think the new Blinder versions are the M25 and M45. They are supposed to be newer technology and hopefully a little better than the old M40 version in that test chart.

I obviously agree on the Laser Interceptor test results.

Based on what I've read elsewhere, if I was looking at laser jammers now, I would be looking at these new Blinder versions too.
