Here are some pictures that i took with my Nokia N95
i seen some people on here had done the M3 smg to x5
but i want more because the M5 smg knob light up which is M3 smg knob
does not light up.
as the M5 knob does not have the P=park like x5 so the when i putted into PARK it NO light :rofl: the rest of lights are work normal N=nuetral light up D=drive light up

in sport mode with no light because the M5 knob have only one mode for light so i hook up to drive mode only (and x5 have two light mode for D and SD)

Kind of cool. Props for doing it, although I would prefer to see it light up in sport mode, since that is where it functions as the lights would indicate, and unfortunately the + and - are backwards...otherwise, great creativity!

i am working on the circuit right now to make it light up when in drive and sport mode

Great knob. I added the same one to my SMG E46 M3 and it was one of the best mods you can do!

Try the HARTGE shift knob too. You can buy one that is also illuminated.
