Anyone remove rear tail gate trim?
 

Want this part painted.

Has anyone taken it off?
Only 4 visible screws.
Can you still use the tail gate with it off? Might take a day or two for paint.

Yeah 4 screws and removal of a connector. I don't think it's possible to open the hatch from outside without it.

Krunk man.. what color are you going to paint it? Green? or perhaps titanium? also where in colorado are you???

Going to get it painted green, I think this piece came painted if you had a 4.4?? or a later year x5.

:iagree: 4 screews then disconnect plug. Unable to use when removed though. That is going to loooook nice!! When you paint it green! I removed my black trim and replaced it with the titanium to match the color of the X.

Take pics when done, I would like to see the green across the back!
