lighting in side mirrors
 

I was wondering if any of you guys have a light on your side mirrors ... actually underneath the side mirrors, but mine does not light up... is it suppose to when the lights are on..??? :dunno:

It should light up when you unlock the doors after pressing the remote and when you turn off the engine. I lights up for around 10 seconds.

mine only is only lit when i unlock the door using the remote....

Salamat....thanks you guys... I really never noticed it before... but it does light up when I unlock the door with the remote...do you guys know if there is anyway of changing the light to make it brighter...

just like the one on M6? hmmmm... i like that too... but i dont know if its possible..:dunno:

is their a tutorial on how to access them? i want to change them out with the xenon 'like' LEDs. that would be cool.

Ok now that would be NICE! Let us know if this can be done! Those lights are part of the premium package in the X brochure...at least on the 2005 one.

You have to remove the cover of the mirror, in there there are standard 5w lamps, they can surely be changed to led.

Has anyone changed it?

If members who have done this mod before can please make a DIY for this mod that would be great .....:D I really would like to make these lights brighter if possible but I dont know how to take out the mirror to get to the lights... Im scared I might break something in the process...:stickpoke
