warranty

I still have the CPO warranty. Would the rotors be under warranty?

yes, but I am talking about Brembo warranty. BMW will not cover anything that is not BMW original parts

This is a lot of conjecture for a problem that hasn't been diagnosed yet, but....

See my previous post #8. It doesn't appear to have anything to do with your CPO warranty, as you did the brake job. The Brembo parts warranty is unlikely to cover it, as there are so many things that can cause warped rotors other than defects in manufacturing. So, you are likely left with your technician and his service warranty. He may be very good, as you say, but does he want to give you a free brake job?

At the very least you could ask him to see if the problem is related to the brakes.

to JCL

You are right JCL, it is not a BMW warranty issue,( that's what I was trying to convey). The brake job was done to the book and I was wondering if the rotors may have been defective or something (I even broke them in following the instructions), but well...I guess it is time to visit my mechanic.

Thanks to all for the responses and help.

Something else that can possibly cause warp

I've heard this in a number of other forum's.

Something else that can possibly cause warp is driving hard and then stopping in traffic and keeping your foot on the brake (which you would tend to do in an auto). The heat build up is contained between the pads and disc (or rotor for you US boys :) ) - this can cause warping as the rest of the rotor is cooling down at a quicker rate.
