I have a 01 X5 4.4 and it has been the biggest piece of garbage I have ever owned and I have owned a lot of vehicles. They look great and I thought maybe I just got a bad one but the more I read it seems like alot of people have the same complaint. What are the newer ones like? Do all of them have problems. Speaking of which, I washed mine yesterday, the wheels were pretty dirty and then today I drove it about 25 miles to a friends house and when I left I noticed a huge spot where something was leaking so I looked at it and it was black in color without a real odor. I checked my brake, oil and transmission fluids and none of them looked similiar to what was in the driveway. I got home and opened the garage to see if there was a puddle and sure enough there was a huge one, same thing black and kinda greasy feeling. Before washing my car yesterday there were not any puddles, nothing was leaking. I don't know why washing my car would do anything even though as I said my wheels were filthy. But does anyone have any idea what it is? it is leaking in the middle closer to the front of the vehicle and like I said black in color and odorless. Please help before I blow the car up
