Need some help with Folding Mirrors problem... and I've done a search.

I've done a search and the French site that tells you what to do is basically worthless now that the pics don't work anymore.

My problem is, my driver side mirror doesn't move most of the time. Sometimes it'll close the mirror, but won't open it. Most of the time you don't hear the motor turning. It's also very loose, and will move partially closed when I go on the freeway.

Also, the passenger side mirror will close and then "bounce" open. I don't know if the passenger side mirror is the problem or the driver side mirror.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

How many miles are on your X? I have found that many dealers will do a courtesy repair on things like this and they are reimbursed by BMW. Even at 55K or 60K miles on the odometer...

I only have 48,000 miles. I'll give it a try.

And what's the point of searching again. It's not like the search function can try harder, or the pics on the French site will sudden pop up again. ALL the post direct you to that post, which I can't read and has no pics.
