Ha! I was just going to say that. That's funny...

The year makes all of the difference...

If it's really a 2005, then buy it right now. That's a heck of a deal.

The dealer had many other 2005/2006 X5 SUVs, with similar milage, but this one was just cheaper for no reason.

There must be something wrong with it??

Check the CarFax, etc., run the VIN through a BMW dealer to see when the warranty expires. FWIW, I paid $22,799 for a 2005 4.4 with 36K miles two weeks ago.

Thank you. Replied to you PM as well..

As far as my car goes, it's still at the dealer waiting for a part for the pano sunroof cover... Went in last Friday for an Inspection I and a small list of warranty stuff. 8 inches of snow on the ground and snowing... :( Hoping to get it back today... at least my service loaner is a 328XI. :D

I was thinking - is it possible that someone can reduce the milage on the speedometer?

Why is the car so cheap?

Also, if I were to purchase this vehicle, would any of you recommend me getting a mechanic to do an inspection?
The dealer said that it has covered warranty until Feb 2009.

Thanks a million.

Sounds like a good deal, especially if they cover the first 2 payments. I just got an 05 4.4i with sport, premium and navi for 27k(there is always a premium if you want navi). It had 39k miles on it. I would look into the amount of factory warranty left because the CPO warranty is not really as good. We were lucky that the car still had 10 months factory warranty left. It's my wife's fav color combo(black/beige) so that sealed the deal. I got it with the .9 financing and they covered the first 2 payments. So I guess you can say I got it for 25.5k. Cali prices are slightly inflated, I wish I lived somewhere cheaper, lol.

That price sounds right ... although in this economy, I'd show a $20,000 bid & see what they say ... worst case scenario, they repeat the offer ... best case, they lower the offer or hit your bid ....
