At least you're getting an education on how not to run a business from this loser. Sorry you had to be a victim CJ, this guy just doesn't know squat about customer service. I did a search on your last name and saw the reference you had made prior to posting. I highly doubt mellifluously mendacious Matt did the same based on his record so far

I've been burned a few times and vowed never to purchase from them again. But those are the one's who never admit they had any at fault.

If he's willing to admit his faults and wants to start a clean slate and make sure things in the past never happen again, i personally would give him another chance.

The problem is that I've seen him do this before... And that was before I placed my order. Apparently, nothing has changed.

just a few searches and I'll have your address, DOB, Security # and possibly CC ;) Kidding CJ, while umnitza may be reaching out to us, he's doing it in all the wrong ways. Someone needs some business pointers....

I couldn't agree more... Just look at the e-mails he sent me once things REALLY got going:
I e-mailed him asking him the address for returning lights.. Then he asked me why I was returning them. I explained. Here's what happened next:
After all the work we put into it.
Amazing.

Please take a look at the site the product is non-returnable once shipped.
It's a custom product designed specifically for your car.

We would be more than happy to walk you through it AND provide you the same
instructions as on the site with a PDF if you need.

But we cannot have you return a custom product like this.
We are sorry.

üm•nitza inc.

925•922•5777

Then I pointed out the section on the reciept about returns, and I got this:
Not sure why you got that email, but our stated policy on the site has been
like that for 2 months plus.

In fact, it's generous as most companies don’t even accept returns.

üm•nitza inc.
---------------
I told him it was his own fault the e-mail was sent to me, and that I was returning them anyway. He replied:
Good, then we'll refund you 20% + the shipping charge we incurred for
overnighting it to you.
Insure the package, because we're not responsible for broken items in
shipping back to us.

üm•nitza inc.
---------------
Then I told him "No, you'll refund the 85% that the e-mail said"
and then he sent me this:

Sorry, our policy on the Terms and Conditions is 20%.
Your email was incorrect. And that's all there is to it.

It's unfortunate your mom had to do all that work for you to simply give up
on something that is so easy to install.

üm•nitza inc.
---------------
Then I took the advice of members here, and told him we were calling AmEx and contesting the charge (which we did)... I got this gem soon afterwards:
Whatever, call them, I'm calling my lawyer right now for credit card fraud,
and if you think I'm kidding, say hello to your attorney general when they
pick you up for CC fraud.

I'm calling a police officer now, if you can't resolve this normally. You
won't see a dime and you'll learn the lesson of being an adult and living
with your decisions.

üm•nitza inc.
---------------

Then before I could respond, this came:
You know what, you're not worth it.
Don't use us for anything.
Send the lights back. Here's your FORMAL ANNOUNCEMENT.
Send the lights back, you get 15% restocking fee.

üm•nitza inc.
---------------
So, I sent this:
Well if you'd give me the address like I asked for 15 e-mails ago, I
would. I assume you mean I get my 85% refund?

Then this came:
My attorney has advised me to deal only with the credit card holder.

We can no longer discuss the details of this purchase with any individual
other than the card holder.

Please have the owner of the card contact us via phone or email as soon as
possible.

Isn't he mature?

Actually, my perspicacity forced me to perform this accurate reconnaissance prior to posting of aforementioned individual's private information.

Again, on a serious note, the issue was not to challenge anyone's accounts. We aren't here to do that.

We wanted to be given another chance. That's all. For some of you, that will never happen, we cannot do anything it seems to avoid this.

For some, it appears as though it's clear that they are willing to at least hear our side of it.

We did do a simple search for Joel's posts and discovered that he posted his last name. Nothing more.

If he wants to edit his original post, we'll ask Kewl to edit ours. But for the record, we did not post his information without prior knowledge of him posting it first.

Your credibility is zero.

Curious Joel 09-27-2005 06:42 PM

By the way.. Would someone like to explain to me how this is a custom product designed specifically for my car, like he claims? :dunno: :tsk:

kirkX5m 09-27-2005 06:44 PM

wow this is getting better by the minute
i cant keep refreshing the page fast enough to read whats going on
and im sure im not the only one!!!!! :bustingup

sorry guys, had to laugh a little

now lets go back to being serious...

At first I was in favor of forgiving Umnitza. The more I read the responses, the more I see double talk. Customer service is key...excuses and 5 dollar words are worthless and can be read through by anyone with a 5th grade education. A simple...Im sorry for screwing things up for my customers works wonders.. Excuses about legal blunders and postings on other web sites is silly, imature and unethical.

Here is a % off coupon on your next order and we will ship for free is one hell of a way to earn customers back. Making excuses about poor customer service drives the customer away even further. We have too many other places we can buy mods from that offer superior customer service and dont make excuses.

You dig yourself deeper into a hole with each response to a post on this web site. I am skeptical and wonder if it is a desperate plea due to lack of sales. All I can say is customer service. The people on this forum are much too smart to put up with poor customer service when we have so many other resources to choose from.

I just read what happened to KING with his lights...what a nightmare...you would have to be nuts to spend a dime with this guy....he should have thought about it that before telling people lies...if you tell people the truth going in and set expectations and exceed them you will always be better off....They told KING 24 hour turnaround that became 24 days...I would have went postal.

I am mad for him...
:gunner: :gunner: :gunner:

You're kidding, right? You made a mistake in ordering, but since you said the website was unclear, we changed it to something we thought was more clear. We put the resistors up on the site just so YOU could order them from there, and I agreed to refund you shipping. All because of your mistake and our understanding that the website may have been unclear (although it does say that 3157 is for X5 front only and always has...)
If this isn't agreeable customer service I would like to know what is?
