Hey Guys - i put in the 9005's.....sad to say they did not work in disabeling the drl's...so eventually off to the dealer I go. Now I have cool blue xenon match high beams.. DRLS still on! :banghead: :banghead:

Rich, thanks for the info on the signal bulbs! should be ordering them soon. But I have one more thing to ask you..can you please take a pic with the xenon-whiteish signal bulbs with the setup? I would really appreciate that so i could have an idea before purchasing them. also, i know bimmian has ultra-bright versions of their signal bulbs which produce i think 3x the lighting. so do you think i should go with the ultra bright version instead of the regular to resolve the lighting issue?

Also i am sorry to hear those bulbs did not work.. hopefully the dealer wont charge you much to turn off the DRLs..

And last thing, any sound clip of your exhaust setup yet? :D

my friend has led signal bulbs, not sure how many leds, but they definately look great and match the xenons with a whiteish color, but when they turn on they signal amber. i was considering those but not sure about their quality..

No prob! I will get pics soon.. its hard during the week..by the time I get home it is coooold and daark out!! Man I cannot wait for the spring! the X is filthy and the minute you wash her ..bam the next day..dirty again! I'm ranting! LOL!... Same with the exhaust sound clip...the weather is just prohibiting me from getting out there in the cold and spending any time....I will get this done also... :) As for the ultra bright...it cant hurt... though the regular ones should be just fine..

Rich .. sorry to hear that. :(

Hope the H1s work but I'm kinda worried.

Looking closely at LI-X5s headlights his DRL bulb SEEMs like its larger than H1 bulbs. Maybe it's an optical illusion but they look like a larger bulb type - like turn signal bulbs. Those are shaped like a tradtional bulb vs. straight bulb like the H1s. Yet, how would they the fit where the DRL bulb goes without modification? We'll see ... I just got word they shipped today.

Thread Hi-jack over, sorry. :p:
