on to the next cheap mod...

Nice to see that we can still do some mods with the current state of the economy...

I actually just completed a really cheap mod but it was on the ///M5... Worth $3.99... Cheap and BMW just can't seem to go well in the same sentence.

If no error from day one then there's nothing to worry about.

cool man! thanks for the headsup! Definitely a cheap mod! BTW, which interior LED bulb part number did you go with? I'm thinking about doing red lighting to make it really BMWish inside.

What is this obsession with illuminating your license plates? I honestly don't get it. Why not just have someone follow you with their high beams on...like maybe a cop. Quite honestly I'd want them as dark as possible, like 0.01 watts. There is only 1 person who needs to look at them and frankly I don't want them to see them at all.

Fair question. I personally dislike the amber color of stock bulb which makes the car look outdated...

LOL .. relax .. let the guy have fun with his X! :stickpoke :D

Noone has to understand each person's reason for a mod or their choice all the time ... this place is for learning sure but also just to showcase and have fun! :tgif: :boogie: :woohoo:

Hey Twins, I couldn't agree with you more. I just simply asked b/c I'm frankly confused. If a ton of people were painting the underside of their X5's green and going crazy over it and I didn't get it, I would still respect their desire to do so, but would certainly still not understand it at all and so pose the same question.

Decided to try these LEDs.

I've had LEDs that I bought from a BMW vendor on my 330ci and constantly kept getting the bulb out warning.

I installed the new LEDs from Autolumination and so far so good. No bulb out warning on both the X5 and 330ci.

Thanks Eugene!!

Here is a pic of it install on the X and OEM LEDs on the 330ci.
