So i got my car inpounded FINE FINE i didnt pay some stupid tickets i was trying to fight for parking. WHATEVER over that and paid.

picked it up today and they F*(&ED up the car. Front bumpber torn off. there was OIL everywhere driping and coming out of the oil filter. Coolant EVERWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!! and my power steering is MESSED UP!!!!

i was pissed, call insurance, called the cops, took it to the mech shop and their taking care of it. the inpound lot KNOWS they messed it up and confessed. they didnt want me to call my insur company or the COPS! they said buddy it will take forever. take it to my mech. i said NO WAY! i do it the legit and legal way sorry!. they gave me a claim form which i sent to my insur company. if they even TRY TO deny the claim im going to kill someone. this is so stupid.

Sorry to hear ... I'd be erupting too! :angryfire

I wonder if they F'ed up your tranny/driveline. Did they just tow it or put it on a flatbed? Either way I would think they need to move the X with those tire/wheel dolleys to avoid damaging the driveline.

That sucks, but like you said, you should have paid the tickets. You never want to get your car towed to an impound lot. They don't give a sh!t about your car.

.

The fact you got several parking tickets to begin with, allowed them to become delinquent to the point where your vehicle was impounded all paired with your ability to put together such an eloquent statement lead me to.........ah, never mind, I'll leave it at that.

Sorry to hear about your self created troubles.

+1

Self inflicted. I am still sorry to hear about it.

Sucks. Where was it parked when they towed it? I'm surprised they just didn't stick a boot on it. Any idea how they managed to screw it up so bad? Also, how long was it at the impound yard before you picked it up?

meandmyX 02-24-2009 09:26 PM

the fact that he didnt pay his tickets DOES NOT give them the right to F*CK it up, i had a something like that (no way near the extent of damage) i had forgot to move my car for the street sweeper on a small one way street and you can park on both sides right, come out and my sideview mirror was SMASHED (not on the X but my last car 98tahoe), i bit my tongue cause 1. i cant prove it and 2. i shouldnt of been parked there to begin with

sorry about your loss man

:iagree: ...He may have been delinquent on his tickets.. But that doesn't mean anything that happens after getting it towed to an impound is fair game..Thats just not right..There's no way in hell he should accept this...He's doin the right thing about how he's taking care of the situation now with insurance etc.

Self created problems was the car being towed to an impound for not paying tickets. Thats where it should end..not where it begins. The fact that they damaged his vehicle to a large extent or any extent is unnacceptable. So they should just get a free pass for fcking up his car because "he forgot to pay his tickets?!!" Give me a break buddy...

I'd have it brought to the dealer for the insurance estimate, indy's don't always know everything to look for for the created damage. Could have drivetrain damage, could have bent suspension components, etc.
