Not sure if I totally get why you need this? The outside mirrors have puddle lights already.

if it lights up when you unlock/lock doors, it'd look cool...but I dunno about having a light there 24/7....

maybe his x5 doesnt have the puddle lights? not sure what year his truck is.

i do have the puddle light though - anyone ever take apart the mirror to try and upgrade the led in there?

I think the red/blue wire he's connecting the LEDs to are the same for the unlock/lock power.

Okay PPL. here how it works the lights will be lit up when you unlock and will be off when lock with the key.
for those who wonder why i do this... I dont have the light under the mirror and dont want to put it there cauz i'm gonna get rid of those elephants ears and replace it with some thing else.
well why you have AE lights? you get compliment right?so does these lights.
