so i guess i should inspect it more closely and try to see if the metal pipe is damaged as well. In cas it's a rat, i don't think a super rat would shew an aluminum pipe... i'll let u know what's the status there, and decide what to do next...

OK... I took a close up photo... the pipe seems intact and shiny...

can I safetly say that all what i have is a damaged insulation that has no effect on the functionality/safety, and hence can be left alone?

btw, a curious question: why is the fuel main supply doing a zigzag all around so visible and high? shouldn't be routed tank-pump-engine somewhere deep down?

that is fuel line .the reason the metal pipe is shaped is to absorb vibration and movement of the flexi pipe . have it fixed asap . possibly previous owner had stupid fuel saver magnet fitted and wore through pipe.
