they usually end up asking for half as a down payment then you pay the rest when you get the car, so they basically take half and run. your left wondering what hit you (if you were dumb enough to think someone would sell an X for 3600 that is..)

Scam is they temp a potential buyer to buy for a price that is too good to be true. They try to make it plausible by saying I have to leave the country right away, or some BS, thats why its so cheap.

Or in my case, I actually came across several of such scams when looking for my X. Except they said they were a member of a not-for-profit trying to raise charitable funds. Someone donated the X for such and such. Whenever, I asked to have it third-pary inspected they would say sorry it's already packed in a trailer ready for delivery. It's sealed already so it can't be inspected. Yeah .. right.

Usually you can spot the scam right away from the pics too ... especially if you've been looking for a while. They always "borrow" pics from another previous listings.

yea those guys are stupid, make the text more reasonable, honestly, that was really wierd.

they do the same if your selling something, the weedle some bank info from you and then you screw with your money that way.
