I've been on a huge off-topic forum since 2001 which gets replies to threads within 30 seconds of it being posted. There are numerous people from all walks of life and all types of personalities. If you're not defensive-minded making a post, you're in some trouble as some will surely jump on you.

I come to X5World expecting the exact opposite. I've only been here a year and the majority of responders and their attitude has always been positive. I hope it stays this way as it is a welcomed change. I have actually mentioned there how there are nicer boards to visit because of this place.

Well said M..!

I myself is still considered a newbie here but I'm staying for the friendships..

And as for those people who get aggravated when someone repeats a question/topic, please do move on and nevermind the flamming..

Hi Michelle, I'm a relatively-speaking newbie to this forum myself, and so far have found there to be an abundance of information available. Not only from the guys/gals' responses but in the database as a whole via the search facility.

ALL the points you have made are completey valid, and judging by the others' responses to your 'mini-rant' ;) this is echoed wholeheartedly by the forum members.

Although I always thank the guys/gals' who have helped in ANY amount I would like to take this opportunity to thank them again, and hope that maybe the info I pick up along the way during my ownership of my X5, along with this forum membership, I can share with others (new and 'old' members) will be able to help them as it has helped me.

Once again, thanks for bringing this particular topic of great interest to all our attentions. I personally feel that it needed to be said, as I too have experienced one or two of the 'do a search' brigade. Which I already had, but my particular interest was not contained in any of the areas covered, hence me posting the question...It was the same, but different if you know what I mean... :stickpoke Sorry, I was even sending myself to sleep there...!

Anyhoo, good job Michelle.

Thanks Michelle. I've been away for a while, but then again, that's been the story of my life - I'm always the last to know! Anyway, the website looks great and after all, what's in a name! ;)

Right-on-girl! I've been around a little longer than most of you "youngsters" and I love young people; "kids" I call ya if your forty or younger. I am young-at-heart, keep fit and CURRENT but to my point.
People have always responded to my attitude and often were amazed at it. I was complimented on my youthful appearance, kindness, respect of others and enjoyment of their company.

Fairly recently I've noticed rude remarks, condescending attitudes and a disturbing cynicism amongst all age groups (I belong to a multitude of organizations.... not all but mostly civic). In one meeting just this week of an organization I have been a member of twenty-three years with an attendant good reputation in it I was publicly ridiculed for uttering conflicting dates contained in a statement I made. There were even verbal "assides" that I overheard but pretended not to have heard about my veracity, my truthfulness. THAT HURT, and again, I am experiencing more of this vociferous behavior. I've a friend who specializes in the mind and he tells me, pretty convincingly, that people are angry. I am NOT going to get into the "why" of it.

By your picture and what you've said here, you seem like a lovely young woman. If people are inclined to insult or be rude to you; you can only imagine how they react to an old-timer like me! I bet your smart too so of course you know that all you can do is focus on the "friendly" posts such as yours and the replies you've received. I've a pretty experienced base foundation to tell you that the rude people are on to other self-destructive activities.

Does this thread infer we can't bring back the Inane, Stupid & Easy Questions Thread? ;)
