I'd get the factory part. Don't have a pic unfortunately but I'd bet that it is more robust and designed to last longer than some tubing. Order it from an online dealer, you should get it in a couple days. If you do, could you please make sure to photograph the old and new tubes and post the pics. Thanks.

Factory part is on order. Should have it on Wed and install it soon after. I managed to get the existing tube off easily (there is a connection in the a-pillar.

I'll post up details of how it's done when things are finished. I took this time to also install the BMW AUX adapter using the instructions on here. Very smooth install.

The new tube came in and I installed it this past week. So far, all appears to be draining normally now.

Here are pictures of the two tubes (old and new) the location in the A-pllar where it attaches. The removal and installation process is not difficult at all.

the only correct way to deal with such a wet carpet is to completely remove it and dry. this will also allow any water or moisture to dry around any electrical components. to lift carpet up and let a fan blow in area is half assed.

But to fully remove said carpet would involve either fully removing the dashboard and center console... and heater/ac box including evaporator... or cutting the carpet right under the dash/console area to reattach later.

Neither option is all that great and trust me as I've done MANY flood cars down here in the swamplands, you can and will get the carpets and electrics fully dry by lifting the carpet, squeezing every drop of water out of the carpet foam with a towel and wet vaccing the floor then toweling it dry. Followed by the carpets propped up and open by a prybar or something with a high velocity blower fan blowing under there untill fully dry. At my dealer we only remove the carpets when they are being replaced.

Any pics on how to find the left rear tube conection? This is truly driving me nuts. is there a easy way to check the drain tube conection or do i have to remove the whole headliner..
