FSR DIY questions.

Are there any "gotchas" to watch out for? And will I need any other small parts besides the FSR? :dunno:

What's an FSR?

FSR = Final Stage Resistor.

Unless you break something while gaining access to the FSR, there is nothing more you will need to do the replacement. Follow the instructions on the home page and you'll be fine.

Replace the uint on wifey 318 recently. For sure you will have to be a contortionist or suffer the agony of a sore back:bustingup :popcorn: :popcorn: :popcorn: :popcorn: :popcorn: :popcorn: . It was sore back for a couple of weeks for me:dunno:

This was pretty darn easy to do. Keep in mind on my car 2003 4.4 I didnt have to take the vent off under the passangers glove box, just worked around it.

This took a total of 45 mins!

The DIY explains it all, read the directions 3 times before you start and you will see how easy it will be!

Juts get some icy hot for your back the same night ;)

the problem i am having is getting the plug off. has anyone here pulled out the FSR while it was still plugged in so they could better grip the harness? it's pretty tight on there....
i have a 2003 4.4i like Antonnyc
