I have bought from members here on Xoutpost and sold to members....and I have never had a problem. Who ever that person is i'm sure will be reminded every time he is seen in a thread...i'll be sure to remind him for you. I would like to hear his side of the story.....just for shits and giggles. WOW, great way to make show!!!!

Im going to make it breif and simple for all of you members here..

i posted a picture above of the front bumper and front flairs i sold him what i sold him.

1st... I was very clear with him about wanting the money the next day(express mail).. He sent me a personal check through regular mail that took just about a week for me to get..

2nd... He bugged me to have everything ready because UPS was going to pick it up the next day (i had no check yet(still in mail)- and i said ok they can pick it up not knowing it would take about a week)

3rd... UPS never picked it up the next day or all the other days after..

4th... The check arrives 3-5 day later..(this check took 4days to clear)

5th... He asked me to look for cheap shipping.. i did and found a good price but they wouldnt do it for something shaped that way..

6th... I drove to FEDEX to find out pricing and they told me to bring it in to get exact pricing- scratched leather seats and headliner puting bumper and flair inside/ to later find out that FEDEX shipping cost was out of his range..

7th... Please remember i was just being Mr.Nice Guy for #2,#5 and #6 - going out of my way(none of that i thought i would have to do when i 1st sold it to him- if i knew i wouldnt sell it to him)

8th... He calls my local UPS store and prepays the shipping of the ship. i then scratch the the headliner again with the bumper. i then go and drop it off at the store and they tell me that i need a special bubble wrap for it and its bought and put on (i did a great job wraaping it with newspaper and stuffing paper)

9th... He calls me a few weeks later and says he didnt get flairs.. i call UPS they said they never got it... so then i make a claim.. claims take a while because they go under investagations- he doesnt understand..


10th... after weeks (04.18.09)we agree i pay him the difference of the bumper..

----conclusion

hes getting money back from me for not receiving the flairs.
im sending his money tomorrow.

- i sold him a silver OEM 4.6is bumper with lip that came off a 02 4.6 and the front flairs for $325 (he got a great deal!)

the bottom line is that im sending money back for him not receiving the flairs- and i hope UPS covers the loss of the flairs and pays me at least what im giving Jim...

Like I said.....There are two sides to every story. All of a sudden dsm2925 is not such a bad guy after all. Infact it seems that he had some hurdles to get over himself. In the end the buyer gets a great deal here less the flairs.....and the seller has to refund some cash and he loses out on the cash for the flairs.. Hopefully to get refunded.

This was not a win win for both parties. That is kinda the goal... a win win for both parties in a transaction like this...

IMO.....I say no one gets banned.....just a shity situation for both parties.

Thanks Rich for understanding.. but its not win for me.. too many issues and headaches for nothing.. I got those parts a while ago and had them layin around and said to myself why not give them to someone who will use them and have fun with them instead of me having them here collecting dust.

This is unfortunate for all involved, as well as those members who were considering buying or selling something here. I have bought and sold lots of stuff over the internet over the years, including a few items right here on this board. Only once did I almost get ripped off (NOT on this board, mind you). Even in that case, I managed to get my item eventually.

I actually appreciate that both sides have had their say. Carry on.

Something doesn't add up.
If seller shipped the flairs together with the bumper it is unlikely that only the fairs are missing. If buyer got the bumper then the fairs should be there.

If seller shipped fairs separately then they should have their own tracking number. How could UPS say they never received it?

IMHO, OP should apologize ASAP for portraying other member as deceitful and dishonest. It seems he jumped through way more hoops than I would have done to accomodate seller.

I would like to chime in I have met dsm2529 in person an have purchased parts from him in fact I saw the bumper when I personally picked up my merchindise and I offered to buy it and he said he was waiting for money from a guy in canada this is 100 percent fact.I can t elaborate on flairs an shipping stuff but as for the integrirty of the seller he is a personable guy whom I would do business with again.
