This is not true (at least with my X) - if you are in the vehicle and lock it from inside, if you pull on the door handle twice the door will open.

I think the "double lock" only works as I described with the alarm installed and locked via remote. (I actually locked a friends girlfriend in my truck last Saturday night on accident, she had to call him saying she couldn't get out!)

I use the Net and the additional rear screens (sides and rear). But i never LEAVE the dog in over 5 minutes.

Do those extra screens come as part of the divider package or are they separate part#?
Thanks,
Mick

Lift the center console Cover.

I had the same problem. My dog would also step on the hazard button everytime without fail. So not only was it unlocked, but she was letting people know with the flashers.

My solution is to open the center console armrest. It creates a barrier between the seats. My dog is small enoungh that she doesn't try and get through.

But the dog net is nice.

So he had the keys to the handcuffs?

As to why the OP doesn't leave the dog at home? Clearly the dog would drink all his beer and crank the home theater system to 11, greatly annoying the neighbors. Don't ask me how I know...
