Awesome!
Looks like aftermarket wheels too? What size wheels and tires??? How's she feel out on the road with the new spacers? I'd like to do them too with some 20's on our new X. Any reason you went with 30mm? I imagine 20mm might get similar look and drive without changin the balance of the X too much. Anyway, sorry for the 20 questions....looks sick enjoy! |

Gotta agree with JCAP's questions plus I reckon 20 or 25mm would fit snug inside the guard as the 30mm look like they protrude just a tad past = possible paint finish damage & mud/dirt on rainy days. Good enough excuse for mine to put on guard flares with 30mm spacers. And yeah looks sick as well  Maybe a before and after pic from the rear (down low) showing spacer impact. |
30mm is alot, looks nice though.

I wanted to go wide. I saw some pics in other threads and a lot of people said that they wished they went with 30mm after they installed 25's. The X handles 100 times better. I would do it again in a heart beat. As for the other questions, they are aftermarkets, 19x10 in the back 19x9 in the front.
I have 15mm to go on the front, but I haven't put them on yet because I haven't made it to the store to order them up. My plan is to lower it just a tad to tuck the wheels in the wheel well better. the problem is, I have that auto leveling suspension in the rear and am not sure how to go about dropping it with that. I don't want anything extreme, as I want the ride quality. I just want to tuck the wheels a little more and get some handling. If someone could post a link to the stuff I need to get to drop this, I would really appreciate it. |
and I was thinking that the 4.6 rear spoiler end caps would stick out a little more covering the wheel at the back end of the wheel well where it isn't fluch like the rest of the wheel. anyone know where to get the kit cheaper than the dealer

wow 30mm is definitely the way to go... you mentioned better handling, it's that much noticable eh? i have 2000 X5 4.4i and would love the same setup, is mine air suspension in the rear too? as i would like to lower it a tad bit.

If you lower the front with drop springs, you can have the dealer lower the back to match through the GT1.
|
Or, if you lower the front with the H&R kit, the kit has the "links" to lower the rear as well
Oh btw, for those deciding whether to go with 25mm or 30mm should also consider the size (width) of the rims and tyre, and if you have the flares. Quote:
