What black should I paint my truck?
 

Hi all, need some advice here.
I have a 4.4 2004 with all 4.8is bumpers flares wheels.(with aluminum running baords)
Its sterling gray.
I want to paint it black. Not a fan of the sterling gray.

What colour of black would you paint your X?
From any manufacturer

( I know the 4.8is came with Black Saphire. not sure if I like it. want a DEEP black)

don't paint your car. i would never buy a car thats been painted. No matter how good the painter is, it will never look right..

Plus nor will it be of the quality that the BMW factory do their paint jobs. If you went ahead the X would have to be stripped back to essentially a bare shell, that would run into big bucks.

Why the hell did you buy a car (I presume only 12 months ago) with a sterling grey finish when you should have held out for a black one ??

Sterling grey is a very different colour from the norm, why don't you theme it up something like what simoncpw (in Hong Kong) did just recently ??

If you must do it go with Carbon Black.

Agree with above. Trade it in if you don't like the color.

Sounds like you should have just bought a black 4.8is if you are doing all of this additional work.

Rust-oleum flat spray paint....the "just primered" look is HAWT.

im with you on that one. painting a car makes it worth less.
