You right, however:
- First problem is that, unless you use a special "pressure" pump, you can't drain all the fluid, so a mix is unavoidable.
- Second, the preconized fliuid by BMW differs depending of the country/market! I can tell you that the fluid sold here by the BMW agent is all but similar to the fluid sold in Europe for example, different colour, smell, etc... And there is absolutely nothing on the bottle to indicate what fluid is exactly in it...

02 with 91,500 miles.
Recently I've noticed a decrease in transmission performance especially when under heavy acceleration. (I did previously abuse the tiptronic from time to time). Has anyone else encountered this problem?

2005 3.0i with 39000 miles. From all the posts above, it seems like the X has been a reliable vehicle. Does anyone have any major repairs or horror stories to report? It's time for me to start thinking about the extended warranty question.
