my 1987 bmw e30 had a amp all bmw's have amps and your should be there unless someone has taken it out

Amp is there even for non DSP.
It is also the best location for aftermarket amps.

If your X5 doesn't have it's amp.............. then you have been ripped off. Return the X5 to BMW and demand all your money back. :D
