where do you buy your parts?
got the "check brake lining" a couple days ago. now that im out of cpo, there is no way in hell im going back to the stealership to get my brakes done. i understand that everything should be replaced (pads, rotors, and sensors).
my question is where do you buy your parts online? also, what do you recommend for a 2003 bmw x5 3.0 in terms of which pads, rotors, and sensors. THANKS!! |
I would go with OEM brake pads and rotors. Just seems that a lot of people have problems with aftermarket brake equipment.

OEM rotors and sensors, from the dealer.
If the dust doesn't particularly bother you, then OEM pads are the best bet, again from the dealer. I have had good luck with Axxis Deluxe pads (from Zeckhausen Racing) for reduced dust, and similar performance to OEM. |
you can by any part from tischer BMW.... www.getbmwparts.com ( enjoy it)

changes, and wiper blades |
i just did my brakes and got my pads from the local autoparts store. I did have to goto the stealer for the sensor but it was only $25.

Find and buy: Rotex GOLD brake pads.
If you want to have your wheels look good for OVER one month without any noticeable brake dust, get these pads. I put them on my 2001 X5 4.4 Sport, and my 1999 740iL (same part numbers front and rear for both vehicles!) Best money I ever spent.... (around $70 per vehicle) Search online for the best price. I buy parts from pelicanparts.com (dealer parts or aftermarket available) alloembmwparts.com bimmerparts.com |
