I didn't have a voltage meter to test with. The few wires that I tried gave me nothing. So for now it's connected to the 12v supply in the DME. I would like them to be switched, but now they are always on when the car is on.
I also hooked them up to the remote, so that the turn on and off when locking/unlocking. I did this with the middle wire that you said to trash. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhcnokkvxRI |
Ok.
If you don't mind, please post up with DMM results if/when you have the opportunity to sweep the connector. A picture of the part description sticker on the LCM case could be helpful too. Good luck man. |

I have the same wire color as you do, but I tested there for 12v and its there... only when the lights are on. So I taped in there and my AE work perfect. |
Still having one issue. My yellow "running lights" stay on after I wired it up like you showed us. But your pics show them off. What did I miss?

Your running lights are should be on when your angel eyes are on.
Your angel eyes should be on when your running lights are on. My pictures aren't showing the amber lights well, but they are lit. |

This method is working properly for you then? :)

Help!! The wires that were supplied with headlights dont reach anything to tap into. Maybe US specs are different , but when try to connect the red wire (power source wire with hook) to the battery cable it wont even reach. Is there another area under the hood perhaps besides the one on the drivers side? plus the "red wire with white stripe" is also really short. So am i right in assuming that i would have to extend these wires? or am i doing something wrong?
p.s. i have a 2001 4.4i with factory HID's. |

From your post, it seems likely you'll have to solder/heatshrink to extend wire(s) to reach the landing locations as noted in the first post. Use properly rated and sized automotive wire. |
Hey, now that you posted on how to install angel eyes, what about how to install LED tail lights without causing fires in the cabin?
