I just reset my mpg computer today and did some driving. I'm geting 15 to 17 around town. There are quit a few little hills and a lot of lights and people thet like to pull out in front of me and go slow untill I pass them. I drove 300 miles on half a tank earlier this week. Most hwy then up and down a mountian. Forgot to reset mpg counte then though. I guess 12 mpg kinda sux though. Doesn't sound like much though. Prob just a minor problem like stated earlier.

Me too - I am always the first to leave the stoplight, but I still average 18mpg.

Ever since I got my custom exhaut my mpg went down a bit. That may be a factor as well. But hey it sounds great!

15 - 17 mpg for me. Both the wife and like to drive the X, lets say 'not like an old fart'.

I get an average of 14-16 and I m heavy on the pedal as well. 12 seems really low to me for a 6??

Right hand drive. That's pretty cool!

My input: 19-20 with a 2006 4.4L in mixed city/hwy driving fairly conservatively. I love to step on the go pedal but I also like the challenge of seeing how good I can get in regards to fuel mileage as well.

Your calculated mileage is on the low side for a 3.0. Two things to check. Firstly, your 95 RON is about 89 AKI, which may be fine as long as it really is 95. If it is any lower than 95 in practice, that can reduce your mileage. Try 98 and see if it changes. Secondly, confirm how much fuel you are really purchasing. Don't trust the OBC, buy fuel and measure the distance, then calculate it manually. Then change fuel stations, and see if the mileage changes. It is possible that your fuel retailer is skimming by pumping less than the indicated amount.

I have a 4.8is here in Manila (bumper to bumper traffic most of the time in the city) and that's my consumption.

A pity most of you guys in the States can't get the 3.0D... I average 22mpg in town and can get 30mpg on a trip, +700 miles to a tank! And thats "driving it like I stole it".

Kunphuzi0n 11-19-2009 12:25 PM

I want a 3.5d so badly! They are available in the states i would love to get milage like that driving like a maniac.
