people on this forum are way too quick to judge!

I agree, we need to see it on the the car. I think it would look better in black but this is just me. The problem will be that it will dent every easily though.
 for sharing your idea with us.

I think this is dent proof and I like the graphite finish. ;) :D

I can't remember which the Teckademics Gumball 3000 video it was, but a bird was stuck inside the grill of a Bentley, facing forward w/ its wings perched like it was still trying to fly away...clearly it didn't make it. I have a couple of 2x2 sheets of the same chicken, that stuff probably wouldn't stand a bumble strike, let alone an entire bird. Its a cool idea and I did the same thing on my 7 for about a day...never got used to the (imo) cheap chicken wire, hybrid Jaguar look and it was just to flimsy. Painted black would probably help it look better and not standout so much, but I never got around to it.

How do you open the hood?

Very good point!
He must have had to make a hole in the left grill for the pull up lever or not, since he said, "he would show us a way to open the hood once the grills are fitted".....We still waiting :dunno:

We can see from his signature pics that he has since sprayed them black.
I hope he posts recent pics of the grills fitted in the car.:)

Pffft...BMW's are invincible, there is no need to open the hood ;)

Looks cool, any updates on the right side? How did you make the hole for the lever?
