X-Pipe Mod Done! :D
I've been following this forum for quite a while and decided to join the bandwagon.
Anyway I own an E53 2001 4.4 with rear auto-levelling. Nice daily driver but not as powerful and handles slightly clumsy. Will work on it as time passes. Today I did my X-pipe mod however I can't really hear the difference...or maybe I'm just deaf  Chopped of the old resonator http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/6975/001up.jpg Half way done from cat to X-pipe http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/3605/002ht.jpg Almost done! http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/1303/003ds.jpg Used back the OEM spring-bolt locks http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/3572/004pc.jpg Enlarged the pipe to fit into the existing one. Easier to install :p: http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/847/005qb.jpg Ho ho ho! http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/4987/006vh.jpg |
Was also wondering if I am suppose to remove the cat to actually hear the difference but I am afraid I will lose out on low rpm torque... :(

If you wanted a little more sound, you should have just welded on a straight pipe instead of x pipe.
|
Worried the sound would be unbearable...
I had a 330CI auto and I change the piping and muffler and regretted...lol.. Scared to do so ever since... Now I am thinking of lowering the car....finding good adjustable end links :D |
Any videos ??? and where did you buy your X-Pipe ??? like how its polished.

I used 2 Y-pipes and connected them. Did not need to polish em' since they were lying around a friend's shop.
LOL....what makes you think they are Ebay ones? :P Anyone got any reliable and good end-link links to buy from? :D |
