It was an exaggeration of the suggestion to downgrade to something you ordinarily would not want.
From what I am understanding, many feel that the rims are gonna tip the scales into the "vandalism attracting" zone.
The way I see it is the scales ARE FAR INTO the "vandalism attracting" zone.
A young university student driving a decent car will be scoffed at regardless of what the nice car is riding on.
Although I do agree/admit you guys are going to have a better grasp on what the people who live in your city are going do than I would.
On a side note, my mum and dad's cars have been vandalized multiple times each.
My brother an I both with 20" + wheels on 3 different cars have yet to experience it... KNOCK ON WOOD!
