With all the rain were getting in Jersey I'm going to wait a bit. What do you guys think is the best way to remove old center caps without taking the wheel off? The dealership tells me they pop right out and in but I dont see it being that easy without damaging the wheel. I'm pretty clueless.

Motordavid, thats awesome they stay up-right. Do the emblems spin when your driving and balance out when you stop or do they stay still while your moving? I've never seen that before, very cool!

Pop the wheel off. By time time you're finished struggling with some other method you could have just pulled the wheels off, swapped caps, and had them back on.

Another suggestion is to use on of those suction cup brackets that come with some portable navigation systems. They usually have a lever to apply strong suction.

What size are the center caps?
I have been thinking about going with the Carbon Fiber ones.

MD,
Very cool indeed, it's a shame they were pulled.

So I put my new center caps on the other day and I need to remember to post pictures. After I took the first wheel off I realized another method where I didnt have to. I hammered a flat head screwdriver, softly into the center of my old caps and twisted and bent the screw driver slowly till they popped right out and the new ones popped right in. Daylight I'll get some pics. I like the new ones, they have a cleaner look. Even though I am jealous of Motordavid's, I kept thinking about how cool yours must be when I see my new ones up-side down haaha

Yeah motordavid is pretty lucky to have those, Bentley makes something similar yours for only $539

I like the old ones better; as with almost everything BMW thesedays, older can be better.

OT...
Sethro, I saw a Bentley the other day, with those center cap spinners on...
I suppose if one can afford the Bent, the $Five Bens for caps is a trifle, :D.
Here in Naples during "season", Bentleys are like Chevys. ;)
