X pipe need pros and cons

I remember many years ago a mod on the Chev straight 6's made them sound flat raspy...(this was in the 60's) is it like that?
Anyone in south FL have this mod so I could hear it?

So, you would do this to make your quiet nice riding car NOISY ? I must be getting old....hmmmm...I already am...

Some people just like nosier cars. I can respect the choice, but a nosier X5 isn't what I want.

My "new to me" 06 CPO 3.0 Prem Sport Black Saphire metallic/Tan is the best of them so far...(of the 15 or so I have owned)..I thought the 99 528iT was good, it was, but this is better...so far I have added XM, from EAS, debadged it...clean looking, tinted all windows, next is some nicer tailpipe extentions....and the rear cargo window screens.

Does anyone in NJ have this? Can you still pass inspection?
