HELP/New to X5
Hello all, I'm a BMW fan ever since buying my E36/95 325i. My love carried over to the motorcycle line and I now have the new S100RR bike. I need an SUV to transport the bike and just take care of things around the house.
My little brother is in need of a good car so I figured it's time to pass down my baby and upgrade. I'm looking at a 4.8is that has every possible option I've wanted down to the leather/suede combo. My only problem is it has 93k miles on it. Should I but it? What are some of the issues fellow drivers have encountered repair wise above 100k? I purchased the 325 with 80k and have had my fair share of repairs and am interested in what I may be getting into buying with higher mileage. Thanks to all for your input! |
What year?
Does it have all the service records? |
Tleong thanks for the quick response. It's an 05. The ad didn't say anything about having the service records. I'll call them back and inquire, I think the excitement of finally finding the "whole package" left me dumb to asking the important questions :)
Thanks, |
if you do a quick search, you can find an instant answer to some of the "general problems" associated with a 4.8. However, off the top of my head, facelifted models are certainly more sturdy than their counterparts 01-04. Generally, if the service records are intact, you should pull the trigger.

Thank you greatly, I'll find out about the service records and keep you posted. Defintiely appreciate the advice.
